Every year in Guadalajara, Jalisco celebrate the World Mazapan day where they feast the creation of this popular candy. It is celebrated in this city where the original recipe was created and is consumed  throughout the country.

January 12 is the day is celebrated, its origins are uncertain, since hundreds of years written references of this product were mentioned  in Toledo circa 1512 and these days it is a world delicacy.There are different theories of its origins, its creation was in Spain and also in Persia.

In Mexico it is known thanks to Mazapan De la Rosa and in Morra Mia we use it in our beverages and desserts that gives the Mexican taste of its main ingredients almonds and peanuts. An inspiration that craves!
